Why We Built CleanCut
CleanCut Video was born from frustration. As content creators ourselves, we spent countless hours manually scrubbing through recordings, identifying silent sections, and cutting them out one by one.
For a 1-hour podcast or lecture, this could take 3-4 hours of manual work. For YouTube creators making daily content, it was even worse. We knew there had to be a better way.
While professional tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve can detect silence, they're expensive, complex, and overkill for most creators who just want to remove dead air. Simpler tools either didn't work well or required uploading videos to the cloud - a privacy concern for many.
So we built CleanCut: a simple, powerful, privacy-focused tool that does one thing exceptionally well - automatically removing silence from your videos.
