What can I do for free?

Record, edit on multiple tracks, add titles, images and sounds, remove silence, save projects and export watermark-free MP4s. Free has no video-length limit and includes three automatic subtitle exports. The allowance is per local profile and does not reset monthly.

What requires Pro?

Connecting an assistant through MCP, filler-word and retake detection, batch processing and automatic subtitle exports beyond the free allowance. Manually edited titles do not use that allowance.

Does CleanCut include an AI assistant?

You choose your assistant: Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode or another compatible local MCP client. CleanCut Pro includes the integration. Your assistant account, model and usage costs are separate.

Are my files uploaded to the cloud?

Editing and rendering are local. Filler and retake detection send transcripts to a service; filler detection can upload compressed audio if the local engine is missing. Memegen receives the captions you use. Your assistant may send data it reads, including transcripts and frames, to its provider.
